Eligibility:
- Second semester freshmen through seniors must have a 3.5 grade point average during the prior school year to receive an invitation into the Sr. BETA Club.
- Yearly membership fee is $25.00
- This includes but is not limited to yearly tee-shirt, National Beta Membership Fee, Graduation Chords
- Student members must participate in at least 16 community service hours per year
- Club meetings will be held at minimum once a month and students are required to attend at least 4 club meetings.
d. The following offenses are reasons for probation or dismissal from the Sr. BETA Club.
a. Excessive detentions will receive a warning and result in possible probation or dismissal
b. ISS: 1st referral will result in probation. 2nd referral will result in dismissal
c. Receive 1 OSS – automatic dismissal
e. Overall grade point average drops below 3.25 at the end of any grading period
a. first occurrence probation
b. 2nd occurrence dismissal
g. Participating in less than 16 hours of community service.
h. Attending less than 4 club meetings in a school year.
Being a member of Sr. National Beta Society is a privilege that is well earned. Students maintain membership through their entire high school career unless dismissed for the above reasons.
