Mark Redferrin

Hello, my name is Mark Redferrin!  I'm excited for my first year at The Heritage, but this is my 12th in the teaching profession.  I began my teaching career as a teacher's aide at Smyrna High School, followed by my first classroom job at LaVergne Middle.  I've spent the past 10 years at Marshall County High School, teaching a variety of mathematics classes.  I am a graduate of Tennessee Technological University (1998), with professional experience in the social and child services fields.

While I am new to Heritage, I'm no stranger to White House.  I've lived in White House pretty much all my early life and attended K-12 school here.  I love this community and look forward to reconnecting with many of my old friends who still live in the community.

I am blessed to have a beautiful wife of 21 years, April, who is an engineer working in Lebanon.  We have one daughter, Abbey, who is a senior nursing major at Freed Hardeman University and also a soccer player.

Speaking of soccer, I was fortunate enough to be offered the opportunity to lead the boys soccer team for the 2019-20 school year, as well as work with the girls soccer team this fall.  I spent the previous 7 years coaching the girls and boys soccer teams at MCHS.  I'm looking forward working with all our great student-athletes and their wonderful families.

I am teaching 7th Grade Math, Geometry, and Algebra 2 this Fall, and will be teaching 7th Math, Algebra 2, and Algebra 1 in the spring.

I am excited to be here, and hope we all have a great school year!
